Bloomin' wonderful! Pinnacle psg residents celebrate seven wins at Lambeth's Estates in Bloom Awards

Seven is a lucky number for some and that´s certainly true for the residents living on some of the estates managed by Pinnacle psg in Lambeth, as together they recorded no less than seven wins at the Lambeth Estates in Bloom Awards 2007.

Pinnacle psg manages estates across London and the UK, and residents at five of the estates it manages in the London Borough of Lambeth won awards in three categories. Pinnacle psg worked in partnership with residents offering planting advice and helping many prepare their garden areas for the competition. In some cases Pinnacle psg also provided sponsorship to help pay for materials and plants, together with free transport to local garden centres. Managers and staff were therefore delighted at residents' success in the competition.

In the Community Garden category, Arlington Lodge won first prize and Cheshire Court won third prize. In the Sheltered Housing Scheme category, Norwood Road estate won first prize and Coney Way third prize. In the Best Kept Estate category it was a clean sweep for Pinnacle psg managed estates however - with Cheshire Court taking first prize, Wellington Mills estate second prize and Arlington Lodge, third.

Edyta Busko-Mokone, Contracts Manager for Pinnacle psg said: "These awards are a huge achievement for the residents on the winning estates and our grounds maintenance staff, as well as a celebration of the wonderful gardens created.

"Lambeth Council is working to 'green' the borough as part of its regeneration programme, and working together with them and Lambeth´s local residents, Pinnacle psg wants to help improve the environment of estates, celebrate the look of the borough and drive up standards of grounds maintenance. We were therefore delighted to hear at the ceremony that Lambeth has been awarded second prize in this year's London in Bloom competition, and is due to enter the national competition too," she said.

The gardens of Lambeth's Arlington Lodge scooped two major prizes
