A team of Pinnacle psg’s IT experts have braved the highest peaks in the UK to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for charity.
James Northrop, Ese Oronsaye, Ben Sanders, Richard Jackson, Matt Hitchcock, Alex Green, Dean Chappell and Gary Dear, climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland (1344m), Snowdonia in Wales (1085m) and Scar Fell in England (978m) and travel the 500 miles between them for their gruelling three day adventure in late August.
By completing this, they have raised over £2200 for two worthwhile charities: Elevate, which works with young people to help tackle social exclusion on inner-city estates; and Cancer Research UK.
Ese Oronsaye said: "The challenge was an enjoyable experience; it allowed us to work cohesively as a team particularly during periods when the going got tough. I would highly recommend it to others who are willing to strap on their boots and brave the misty cold weather. A special thank you to all those who supported and sponsored our charitable causes."
Ben Sanders added: "It was a very tough challenge and definitely brought the best out of the team. It was enjoyable and an experience that we shall never forget. We are a closer unit for completing it."
If you would like to support the team, you can still sponsor them through the Justgiving website at either:
• Elevate's Justgiving site
• Cancer Research UK's Justgiving site
Alternatively, you can contact James Northrop directly by email to arrange sponsorship.
