Pinnacle psg has been shortlisted for the Best Green Project / Initiative in the Community in this year´s Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Connecting People Regional Awards.
Pinnacle psg worked in partnership with tenants in Canning Town, Newham, to regenerate two local derelict plots of land. The tenants developed plans for a sensory garden, with plants and features for sight, sound, touch and smell; and a walled plot where they wanted to create a “secret” garden for rest and reflection. The Pinnacle psg team then cleared the plots and brought the gardens into vibrant reality, working from the tenants´ ideas.
Beverley Varney, Pinnacle psg Contract Manager, in Canning Town said, "We are all thrilled at being shortlisted for these awards. The gardens really transformed what were local eyesores into secluded and attractive places for everyone in the local community to enjoy. Being shortlisted for this award is an important recognition for the enormous amount of effort both the tenants and the Pinnacle psg team put into creating these gardens," she said.
Pinnacle psg has been shortlisted along with three other projects in this category. The awards will be presented on 13 March in London.
